The original shot was taken using afocal projection with an 80mm short tube refractor and exposure time of 8 seconds. Although I had 2 reasonable frames in the original, they did not stack.
I tried to retain the original colour but it didn't work.

Pleiades February 9th 2010 reprocessed
Due to the better Curves function of GIMP, I was able to brighten the original shot of the Pleaides before reducing the noise, yet retaining the brightness.
The original shot was taken using afocal projection with an 80mm short tube refractor and exposure time of 8 seconds. Although I had 2 reasonable frames in the original, they did not stack.
