I had bright sunshine on the way to work. I stopped in a layby on the M46 and focussed on the background. Fitting the filter, the sunspot was clearly visible, even though I had missed it on 26th.

I bin scanned the Sun through moving cloud but was unable to see the sunspot.
February 24th 1400 GMT
I bin scanned the Sun and saw a single large sunspot.

I bin scanned the Sun through moving cloud but did not see any sunspots.

It cleared mid-afternoon so I did a solar hydrogen alpha shoot. The Sun was very quiet, though.

Finally, the first action of the month! Before I left for work, I did some shots of the Moon with my DSLR at ISO 800, 300mm focal length and 1/500 second exposure.
Very atmospheric shot that one!
