I was out at 0000 GMT to snap the Moon and
Jupiter. Some cloud had appeared since my constellation shoot and the Moon was
a bit difficult but I captured enough clean frames to have a go. Jupiter was
being its usual awkward self. The moons made an interesting pattern but the
full disc was jumping about and my close-ups were more in hope than expectancy.
However, at least I caught some cloud bands.

Constellation shoot
At 2130 GMT I popped out to do a
constellation shoot. Although it didn’t appear completely clear, I was
nevertheless surprised to capture a lot of detail.
Photos are:
- Aquila, also showing Delphinus and Sagitta
- Perseus
- Jupiter in Taurus
- Summer Triangle
- Pegasus, also showing Pisces
Sun and daylight Moon
The Sun was rather quiet with just 2 large sunspots visible. The Moon was waning gibbous and showed quite a lot of detail.
More soalr shots from April 27th 2010
I processed the remainder of the April 27th
solar shoot and found some details, like prominences, that hadn’t come out when
I processed them before.

Reprocessed solar hydrogen alpha photograph April 27th 2010
The Sun was very quiet on this day but I managed to find a little bit of detail by reprocessing this shot.

Reprocessed lunat shot from April 25th 2010
Due to travel, I was unable to do any viewing, although the conditions were quite poor, anyway. I reprocessed a daylight Moon shot from April 25th 2010 and managed to extract some detail, especially Tycho’s rays.

Moon October 1st
Like the day, the evening was rather hazy but I managed to take some full disc lunar shots at 2010 GMT. Even though I took 15 frames, only 3 were of reasonable quality but, fortunately, the stacking process worked.
