July 27th Observations
Latest Observations are now complete up to July 27th: http://philippugh.comlu.com/Latest_Observations.html
The awesome solar filaments taken in hydrogen alpha light were amazing. On one had I was pleased to see them but on the other hand I wished I'd had a bigger hydrogen alpha telescope.

Welcome
Welcome to my new blog. I am a telecommunications trainer by day and solar observer during breaks and observe the wonders of the night. I use affordable techniques to take snaps of the Sun, Moon, planets and anything else I can get on my limited equipment. This photo was taken on March 7th this year, using a 127mm Maksutov and cheap digital camera.
I will soon start posting regular observations here from August, as I finish my old blog: http://philippugh.comlu.com/Latest_Observations.html
I have a new promoted video and will update this every few days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w10sNA_yn3M
